The Langford Conservancy, Concerned Citizens of Brant, Grand River Environmental Network, and Kairos, are actively promoting a Town Hall on the Co-ordinated Land Use Planning Review of the Growth and Greenbelt Plans. The event is being held by the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing at the Best Western, 19 Holiday Drive, Brantford, Ontario and is one of many being held across the province. Doors will be open for the Town Hall at 6 p.m. and it will run until 9:00.
In addition, The Langford Conservancy will be running workshops to help those who wish to participate, every Wednesday in May. These workshops will run from 7 to 9 p.m. on May 6, 13, 20, and 27, at Faith Lutheran Church, 57 Brant Ave., Brantford.
Brantford and Brant County are just on the edge of the Greenbelt, as defined by the province, and were almost left out of local consultations. The meeting was arranged at the request of Ella Haley of the Langford Conservancy, supported by Brantford city councillor David Neumann. Anyone in the province can comment by email, through the EBR, or by post to
