The Grand River Environmental Group held their annual clean up at Brant’s Crossing in Brantford on May 9, 2015. Dozens of people came out to help, collecting more than three pickup truck loads of trash. Roger Chandler of Blue Heron Rafting guided volunteers down the river in time for the festival when the clean up was done, in two rafts which were loaded with junk by the time they arrived. The Sherwood restaurant served BBQ lunch for volunteers, and artists Black Mink opened up entertainment for the afternoon.
