The Concerned Citizens of Brant (CCOB) in Paris are looking for support in the form of comments on a provincial posting on the Environmental Registry.
Two years ago today the CCOB had the first of two public letter signing events to provide public input on the Permit To Take Water (PTTW) for the gravel pit on Watts Pond Road in Paris. Two years later the PTTW has still not been approved, and now the gravel company has changed their plans regarding water use, and this has resulted in a new posting for an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA). The ECA had until now been considered along with the PTTW, but has been separated due to the changes. Many of the CCOB concerns were in relation to the ECA portion of the application, and now there is opportunity to comment directly on the ECA until June 24th.
You can always visit the CCOB web site or facebook page for updates, and as well you can find out how to submit your comment on the new posting for an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) directly on the Environmental Registry. Facebook users can join the ECA comment period event that the CCOB created on facebook.
